HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE AN EYE EXAM?

Infant: A child's first eye exam should be at 6 months old
Toddler: A child's next eye exam should be at 2-3 years old
​
School Aged Child (4+): Yearly eye exams recommended
Children on myopia control: Follow ups every 3-12 months
​
Adults:
Healthy Adults Aged 20-64 years old: Every 2 years
Adults with pre-existing ocular conditions or a family history of ocular conditions: Every 12 months or sooner
​​
Seniors:
Healthy Seniors (65+ years old): Every 18 months
Seniors with pre-existing visual conditions or health conditions: Every 12 months or sooner
​​
Diabetic Patients:
Individuals with Diabetes: Every 12 months (or sooner if there are ocular complications).
