What is myopia control?

Myopia control is a treatment option used to slow down the progression of myopia (nearsightedness) in children. The risk of ocular disease increases as myopia increases. Myopia control options allow us to reduce the progression and prevent higher amounts of myopia. Treatment options include eye drops, specialty contact lenses, orthokeratology lenses, and specialty glasses.
